Calgary Cowboys

I got a new camera for Christmas. This was our trial run. It was really cold, but the boys were great.

A Little about Us

We're a family of five (nearly six) living in Alberta, Canada. We have three very sweet, energetic boys (6, 4, 2). We made the trek out West from Ontario, my husband's stomping grounds, last summer. I'm from north Louisiana and still trying to get used to Canadian winters.

My husband teaches English stuff at Ambrose University College. I am home with our boys. We homeschool and play in the snow (yes even in April, and I've been told it comes even in May!).

We love living near the Rockies with its many outdoor opportunities; our 6-year-old already has favorite destinations in Banff--the Cave and Basin (Why? we're not sure. It smells of sulfur and has miniature endangered snails. We're thinking of buying a family pass though.) and the Silver Dragon (a Chinese restaurant, with a goldfish tank housing 6 largish goldfish--maybe it's the fish, maybe it's the name: whatever it is, it's a nice change from McDonalds!)

The miniature endangered snails, can you spot them?

Room Time Creations

Today roomtime was less of a warzone and more of a
construction site (though the mess it makes is no less).

The boys used their legos to build cool ships for their playmobil guys.

This is the Scorpion: the tail (the green rectangle above the guy's head), the long "arms" (though no pincers), the head (blue square piece) are all shooters. The arms are also extra pieces of wings and can magically swing out to make really long wings. (I guess for warp speed.)

This is an extra hideout.

This is a tower (now)/flagpole (used to be).

Then "Babyzilla" woke up and joined the fun.
A drawbridge and a dragon are no match for him!
